Pastor Marian Farquharson nee Sewell was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. She is the youngest child of Susan Mitchell. After attending primary school, she was sent to trade school to learn how to become a seamstress. Pastor Marian's mother Susan was a member of the Church of God in Christ Jesus and raised her daughter in the church. However Pastor Marian did not take church seriously and just followed along with what everyone else was doing. However, one night after hearing the word of God preached by late Bishop Peynado, she finally accepted the Lord in her heart and was baptized by the late Bishop Cole. Pastor Marian migrated to America in 1968 and began to worship with the late Apostle R.C. Williams in Paterson, NJ. Her husband, the late Pastor Linburn F. Farquharson, joined her shortly and together they raised six children. Then in 1989 Pastor Marian joined her husband as he left Paterson to start his ministry in Newark, NJ and later East Orange. Pastor Marian worked along side her husband until the Lord called him home on March 6, 2007 and then she was ordained as pastor of the church. Pastor Marian Farquharson is an ardent believer in the word of God and it is her mission to build up the family of faith-people who believe in God and accept Him as their personal savior. Her vision is to see souls saved and people come to know who God is. Pastor Marian Farquharson loves the Lord with all her heart and loves his children as well.
